Intersection 4D
A new dimension of IntersectionMoving image & spatial installation
Sensorium Worlds, Milan

Intersection, folded into
another dimension.
Hand-shot, slow-motion footage of Intersection’s strings became the material for a new work. Mirrored into moving patterns and wrapped around the monumental columns of Pirelli HangarBicocca, the filmed lines seemed to become three-dimensional again.
Real strings. Real light. Real moments.
An “undesigned” structure emerging from the image itself.

The image
becomes space.
As the patterns pass around the corners of the columns, diagonals appear to fold, open and extend beyond the surface.

Filmed, mirrored, repeated.
Then folded around architecture.

Something
already within.
The emerging patterns recalled embroidery and the visual rhythms of my region—an unexpected connection to my roots, and to my own name.
Nakışçı means an embroiderer. Nakış gibi işlemek: to work with the care and precision of embroidery. Here, that familiarity appeared through filming, mirroring and looking closely.

With Stefano Seletti.
It began at SELETTI in Cicognara, near Parma: a workshop bringing together 20 creatives from around the world. Ideas developed there would become part of Sensorium Worlds in Milan.

One night.
Many worlds.
The workshop became an encounter between moving images, architecture and sound, with a performance by Adriatique.
